TRAINING EXPERIENCE
Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas Medical School year 4 and 5 students on Orthopaedic rotation – Regular Teaching from 2009 until 2019
Delivered tutorials on Orthopaedic Clinical Examinations. Also lecture based teaching on various topics of Orthopaedics like NOF, common upper and lower limb injuries. Audience composed of groups of upto 20 students. Also did one to one teaching in fracture, orthopaedic clinics and bed side teaching of FY 1, Junior core trainees with active engagement in formal feedback and assessments.
Supervising Registrars
Supervising and training registrars while doing Trauma and Upper Limb fellowships at Kings College hospital. Training involves various aspects of Orthopaedic surgery like knowledge of anatomy, approaches, tissue handling, biomechanics of implants and the procedure itself.
While working as an SHO in Biochemistry (Research job) got involved in teaching medical students about various aspects of research including working with various equipments for example ELISA, Autoanalyser, DNA finger printing etc.
Informal teaching for FRCS Orth exams since 2012
Discussions and teaching for FRCS Orth exams to registrars from QEH and also from other hospitals Like Kings, QMS and PRUH after passing my exams. Teaching was x rays, implants and lecture based.
